Audi introduced its all-new aggressively-styled Q7 for the first time at the Los Angeles Auto show. Performance of the 4.2 quattro will come from its 345-hp V-8 engine that is paired to a six-speed tiptronic automotive transmission. Inside, it's all luxury and convenience for up to seven passengers in three-row seating. The Q7 has 28 different seating and storage configurations to optimize interior space. Expect the Q7 to start at $50,620 when it goes on sale in June.

After an absence of 17 years, BMW reintroduces a high-performance 6 Series coupe in the form of the new 2006 M6. It made its debut in North American debut where Tom Purvis, president and CEO of BMW North America, described it as "The pièce de résistance of the M range". It could be because of a powerful V-10 engine that accelerates from 0-60 mph in less than 4.6 seconds and offers handling and braking that are just as impressive. Or, it could be because the roof is made with carbon-fiber weave. Expect the M6 to start at over $96,000 when it goes on sale in May.

History may remember the new Bugatti Veyron, being shown in North America for the first time at the LA Auto Show, as the one of the most powerful cars ever. With 16 cylinders, 64 valves and four turbochargers producing 987 hp, the Veyron is said to surpass 250 mph. A power gauge on the instrument panel tells the driver how much horsepower is being used. While it can't use more than 987 horsepower it can hit 0-60 in under 3 seconds. Only 300 Veyrons will be built for about $1.2 million each.

It makes its World debut at the LA show.

Expected in showrooms by spring, the new Suburban shares its engineering with the '07 Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon and other stable mates. Enjoying its World debut at the LA Auto Show, the Suburban has a new body design, new interior and powertrains. Helping to ease consumers' fears of high operating costs, both available V-8 engines will feature a mileage-boosting technology called variable valve timing.

Under the long hood lives a 612-hp, 6.0-liter V-12 engine from Mercedes' high-performance partner company AMG. However, what really defines the Maybach is its size and quality - and the statement you'll make arriving in it.

"The Mazda CX-7 represents everything a Mazda SUV should be: powerful, stylish, beautifully crafted and fun to drive," said Jim O’Sullivan, president and CEO, Mazda North American Operations. And it is not shared with its partner Ford Motor Corporation.

The differences between cars, SUVs and wagons are rapidly shrinking thanks to "crossover" vehicles like Mazda's new CX-7, whose goals are to provide the utility of an SUV together with the driving enjoyment of a sports sedan. The CX-7's is a turbo-charged four-cylinder 2.3-liter direct-injection engine that produces 224 horsepower. Styling cues from Mazda's RX-8 sports car, and a choice of either front- or all-wheel drive, further separate the CX-7 from the pack. The CX-7 makes its World debut in Los Angeles. No price has been set yet.

The GX3 was conceived by the Moonraker team, compiled of 23 engineers, marketing, design and sales team, and VW's Design Center in California, exclusively with the U.S. market in mind. Volkswagen is dubbing the vehicle a mix of the GTI sports car and a motorcycle. Three wheels and two seats, 0-60 is under 6 seconds. At 46mpg it qualifies for the carpool lane. The GX3 pushes 1.25 g on command and weighs only 1257 lbs. The decision to produce it will come from the dealers and the people that see it. The unveil was shown to all dealers via satellite, so expect the buzz to be big. The estimated starting price is under $17,000
