2004 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Review, Pricing, and Specs.
I always thought that the Corvette was a guy's thing until I got in one at GM's proving grounds in Michigan last summer. I've changed my tune. Try slipping into the cockpit of this powerful machine and you feel like a million bucks. No surprises here. The Corvette lives up to its50-year image. It puts out loads of engine noise (the vroom factor) and runs wild on a 5.7liter V8 engine boasting 350 hp @5600 rpm.
The drive? Strong and tight with that rocket blend of muscle, instant energy and sharp reflexes. The cabin feels like a hug, the race-worthy controls are placed at a comfortable level for a woman to drive. There's also a real trunk and the high quality top convertible stows neatly under a flap. Starting price: $48,205.
